Okavango Horse Safaris is comprised of three camps, each with its own flavour of the delta. Kujwana Camp is our main camp, Mokolowane our secondary camp, and “Fly Camp” our third camp under the stars.

You will spend the most nights at Kujwana camp, which is where we are based and where you will arrive. Here we have wifi, a swimming pool, and luxury safari accommodation for all guests, each with their own ensuite bathroom and riverside views.
Hippo Cradle
RIVERSIDE SUITE
This beautiful riverside suite sits above the Xudum river during the winter months and in front of a watering hole throughout the summer. Relax on the veranda and watch the Elephants wallow in the crystal clear waters of the delta whilst the king fishers take a well earned break on the over hanging limbs of the ancient fig tree that embraces the suite. Elegant and charming this suite is perfect for honeymoon couples and those wanting to add a little extra luxury to their stay at Kujwana camp.
Rocking Horse
RIVERSIDE SUITE
Nestled into the trees on the side of the Xudum river this suite provides the perfect setting for honeymooners and couples looking for a romantic retreat. Lye in bed and listen to the hippos grazing below your veranda whilst eagerly awaiting the beautiful sunrise that floods the suite with warm light every morning. The rocking horse provides true and authentic safari luxury whilst blending into the dense riverside woodland seamlessly.
Meru Tents
ENSUITE SAFARI TENTS
The original Safari tents, our 4 Meru tents are charming and simple. Just the way we like it. Exceptionally comfortable with en-suite bathrooms these tents provide you with everything you would want to enjoy your authentic safari experience. Nestled into our islands woodland you are surrounded by the calls of our incredible birdlife. Expect to visited by the vervet monkeys and enjoy a wake up call from an elephant casually grazing the Marula fruits along the river bank. With both twin and double tents we can cater all sizes of groups.
Main Area
FIRESIDE / BAR / DINING ROOM
Set out around the fire pit and sheltered under a canopy of trees our main area is the centre point and heart of Kujwana camp. We meet here for breakfast each day and end here with a glass of wine around the fire every evening. Enjoy a true al-fresco dinner whilst listening to the hippos call, and if your lucky even a visit from a nosey elephant passing by.
Tree House
With a view over the Xudum river and orientated to catch the afternoon breeze this is the perfect place to spend an afternoon relaxing with a book or simply enjoying the wildlife passing you by.
Swimming Pool
With a beautiful decking area and space to relax or catch the afternoon sun the swimming pool is a popular siesta hang-out for our guests. Looking over the Xudum river and the flood plane beyond it is easy to lose track of time as you watch the zebra grazing and the giraffes slowly meander their way between the islands.
Tack Room
With 60 horses this is a busy place within Kujwana camp and is kept in immaculate condition by our horse manager; Chief. With a mixture of English and South African Trail saddles, all of the highest quality, the tack room is an integral part to the smooth running of our safaris. Always an amazement to guests we look forward to showing you around.
Barn
Home to our herd of top safari horses the barn has a team of dedicated staff in order to make sure it is kept to the highest of standards. Barn tours are a popular evening activity as guests are taken around the herd after their evening meal and told the stories of our amazing horses.
Training Area & Lunging Ring
With many young horses within our heard we have a dedicated team to training and schooling in order to ensure the highest quality safari horses for our guests.
